Why Buy Local?
Woodchuck's is a family owned business that began in Orange Park more than 30 years ago. We started out as a furniture restoration business, a type of background that proves invaluable to this day. We know that quality furniture means much more than just good looks, a fact lost in many stores today. We also know that no matter who the manufacture is or what their warranties may be, it is the retailer that stands behind their product. To that end, Woodchucks carries over 100 vendors, carefully sought out for their quality furniture production. We warehouse the furniture in our on-site facility, and use Woodchucks employees, not subcontractors, to deliver you furniture to you. While we no longer bring new life to antiques, we do bring new life to your home!
As things move more and more to the technical world, here at Woodchucks Furniture we are still striving to provide you with the family atmosphere of a locally owned business. While at the same time, staying current on all things "techie". With all the new ways to shop on line, we want to remind you of all the benefits to buying local. Not only is it good for you, it's also good for the economy and the environment.
Did you know: LOCAL business create 70% more local economic activity than the big national business. Creating 3.5x's more income for the LOCAL economy. For every dollar spent at a LOCAL business $0.80 stays in the community. While every dollar spent at a national business only $0.40 stays in the community. Now, listen to this... If every family in the U.S. spent $10 a month at a LOCAL business instead of a national business over 9.3 billion would be returned to OUR economy! WOW!! If you love where you live, buy local and put YOUR money back into YOUR community!! It's that simple.
Now, let's look at some of the environmental benefits. A few facts for you: The U.S. transports 2.2 trillion dollars worth of products from over 150 countries every year. Resulting in 1.1 gallons of gasoline used and 1 billion metric tons of Co2. By choosing to buy local you can help the environment by cutting down on processing, packing and transportation waste.
Last and most important, the benefit to you personally!!! While shopping on-line may seem easy. You will not only be charged astounding shipping cost you will never receive the personal care that you will with us. Here at Woodchucks Furniture is is our passion to make your house a home. We tirelessly seek out the very best products and offer personal services such as our In-Home Design Assistance. While we love all things "techie", sometimes there's nothing better than the real deal. Stop by our showroom and see so for yourself. We are located at: 12575 San Jose Boulevard.

If you still can't find just the right pillow for you... make your own. You can easily customize any throw pillow. Try using a stencil and a permanent marker to add your favorite quote. Easily embellish any throw pillow with ribbon, buttons or felt. You can even transfer family photo's onto your throw pillows. There are many techniques out there for transferring photo's to fabric... just check out Pinterest!! Our favorite technique requires 5 simple supplies: Any laser print image, gel medium (found at any craft store in the paint section), a paint brush and a spay bottle with water. Now, simply paint a thick layer of gel medium on the front of your image and press face down onto your fabric. Then, let it dry for several hours. Once dry, spray the paper backing with water and lightly rub paper off. Once all the paper is removed you may want to add a layer of gel medium to protect your image.
At the end of the day remember that your living room is meant for just that...LIVING! Take time to enjoy those that make your house a home. As Albert Hadley said, “Make your home as comfortable and attractive as possible and then get on with living. There's more to life than decorating.”

This Floor Sure is a Pretty Penny!
Here at Woodchucks Furniture of Jacksonville we are always working to bring you fresh, creative and inspirational design ideas. It's kind of our tradition to do something new and exciting in our showroom each year. This year we have decided to try a penny floor.
That's right PENNY!! As in, "A penny for your thoughts" or "See a penny, pick it up, all day long you’ll have good luck" and "A penny saved is a penny earned."
Here's a few interesting facts about pennies
............(you know... just in case you're ever on Jeopardy).
- The average penny has a life span of about 30 years.
- What happens to a penny after that you ask? When the U.S. Mint receives pennies that aren't good enough for circulation anymore, it melts them down and recycles the metal.
- Throughout history, the penny has been made of various materials, including 100 percent copper, bronze, copper and nickel, steel and zinc-coated copper.
- Today, pennies are made of 2.5 percent copper and zinc. About 30 million pennies every day, with about 1,040 created every second....that's a lot of pennies!! And, did you know the average American household has $93.75 worth of pennies just laying around. With all those pennies laying around why not try to create your own penny floor. Or, just stop by our showroom and admire ours
Stop by our store to see this beautiful work of labor completed by our awesome team at Woodchuck's Furniture!

All Relationships Begins with Trust!
Trust is the reliance on the integrity, strength, and ability of a person or thing. In the commercial world, trust is the bond between a buyer and a seller. The purchaser must trust the companies they are purchasing from, that their products and services will perform up to their expectations. For example, a furniture company with reliable products is easy for a consumer to trust.
Neither a buyer nor a seller can make a good and long lasting relationship if they are not bound in a commercial relationship of buying and selling with a sense of belief. A buyer expects that a seller of his or her choice will never deceive with an inferior or lower quality product than they claimed to be selling. A buyer always returns to the same seller if he or she is highly satisfied and contented. The supplying of quality products and matching of all furniture related needs and desires of clients with flawless service from the furniture salesman urges a buyer to put his or faith in the salesman's abilities and qualifications. Honesty and integrity is the basis of a good reputation for a seller in the market.
When it comes to combining the finest quality furniture and dealers you can trust, sellers and suppliers in Jacksonville really stand out. Furniture stores in Jacksonville, such as Woodchucks Furniture, offer the best value with the greatest customer service. Client satisfaction and trust attract customers and, more importantly, keep them coming back.
